High-caliber guests from sports and showbiz, politics, culture and business were astonished at the 48th Ball of the Sports in the Ballroom with the world championship balancing act by World Champion Pauline Schäfer and the live act of Revolverheld.

For the first time since 2014, the ball took place again in the newly built "Rhein-Main-Hallen", which today bears the name RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC).

APA had the pleasure to ensure that 1500 invited guests were set up for TV and photo. The ballroom was decorated in the course of the upcoming European Athletics Championships in Berlin for Athletics Stadium, for APA, a home game, as the EM of APA will be accompanied as General Ausstatter. Johannes Vetter and Thomas Röhler, world champion and Olympic champion in the javelin throw, became part of a show staged by star choreographer Marvin Smith. Christina Schwanitz, former world champion in shot-putting, Paralympics winner Niko Kappel and German long-jump champion Claudia Salman-Rath were able to demonstrate their skills on the specially laid ball in the ballroom between the guests. A glittering ball night came to an end in the early morning hours.
