Guests of honour in 2014 were Uma Thurman, Catherine Deneuve, Ennio Morricone, Ornella Muti and Sir Christopher Lee, who received a special award for his decades of commitment to UNICEF and Cinema for Peace. The gala was dedicated to the life of recently deceased Nelson Mandela, his commitment to human rights and his fight against apartheid in South Africa. As part of this year’s event, which took place on February 10th, 2014 in the concert hall at the Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin, Cinema for Peace marked the lifetime accomplishments of Mandela with the “Special Honorary Award”. Every year at the Cinema for Peace gala in Berlin, ambassadors from the international film and media sector meet influential personalities from business, culture and politics, in order to help bring global media attention to topics such as freedom and humanity, and to initiate exemplary projects. Once again this year APA’s contribution was, as well as advice regarding brand image, the production and installation of all of the branding and signage. Amongst other things this included a massive banner for the flight of stairs, crowd barrier covers, APA walls as press walls in the Hotel Regent, the photo wall on the red carpet, various roll-ups as well as the impressive stage branding. We are pleased that we could once again be a part of this good cause.
