Für Rune ist es der erste ATP-Titel. Der Junioren-Champion der #FrenchOpen 2019 ist der erste #München-Sieger mit einer #Wildcard und der drittjüngste in der Turniergeschichte. Neben 81.310 Euro #Preisgeld gab es auch noch den Pokal von Bayerns #Ministerpräsident Markus Söder, die Lederhose und das Sieger-Auto BMW i4 M50 (70.800 Euro).

Dramatic end to the BMW Open
Finalist Botic van de Zandschulp had to retire after 59 minutes at 4:3 on Sunday afternoon. The Dutchman was escorted by two paramedics from the centre court at the Aumeister.
Recently, the number 40 in the tennis world had been plagued by back problems. The official ATP explanation: acute indisposition.
Van de Zandschulp was stabilised in the clubhouse of the MTTC Iphitos. The Dutchman briefly returned to the court.
After a 15-minute interruption, he had to retire from his first ATP final.
The winner is Holger Rune (19) – the defeater of Alexander Zverev! It is the first ATP title for Rune. The junior champion of the French Open 2019 is the first Munich winner with a wild card and the third youngest in tournament history. In addition to 81,310 euros in prize money, he also received the trophy from Bavaria’s Minister President Markus Söder, lederhosen and the winning BMW i4 M50 car (70,800 euros).
