Die deutsche Ersatz-Staffel ist beim Biathlon-Weltcup in Antholz überraschend aufs Podest gelaufen. Das DSV-Quartett mit Roman Rees, Philipp Horn, David Zobel und Lukas Fratzscher belegte nach starken Leistungen am Schießstand einen tollen dritten Platz. Es war das zweite Top-3-Ergebnis des Winters nach Rang zwei in Ruhpolding.
Knapp zwei Wochen vor den Olympischen Winterspielen in Peking (4. bis 20. Februar) unterstrichen die Norweger um die Brüder Johannes Thingnes und Tarjei Bö mit ihrem dritten Saisonsieg ihre Favoritenrolle.
Die APA LED Sponsoren Installationen kamen trotz strahlendem Sonnenschein bestens TV gerecht zur Geltung. Ab Montag bereitet sich das Team des Deutschen Skiverbandes (DSV) in einem Höhentrainingslager in Antholz auf Olympia vor. Am 31. Januar ist der Abflug von Frankfurt nach Peking geplant.

The German reserve relay team surprisingly made it to the podium at the Biathlon World Cup in Antholz. The DSV quartet with Roman Rees, Philipp Horn, David Zobel and Lukas Fratzscher finished in a great third place after strong performances at the shooting range. It was the second top-3 result of the winter after second place in Ruhpolding.
Barely two weeks before the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing (4 to 20 February), the Norwegians around the brothers Johannes Thingnes and Tarjei Bö underlined their role as favourites with their third victory of the season.
