Das European Handball Federation Final Four ist der Saisonhöhepunkt der europäischen Handball-Elite und fand dieses Jahr bereits zum 14. Mal in der LANXESS Arena in Köln statt. Der Handball-Nervenkitzel begann mit den Halbfinalspielen am Samstag und fand seinen krönenden Abschluss mit den Partien um den dritten Platz und dem Finale am gestrigen Sonntag.
Neben dem FC Barcelona und Paris Saint-Germain, waren auch das Team aus dem polnischen Kielce vertreten sowie der SC Magdeburg – Handball Magdeburg GmbH als deutsche Vertretung.
Für die Kirsche auf der Sahnetorte sorgte der SC Magdeburg, der sich den Titel in einem packenden Schluss-Krimi mit 30:29 nach Verlängerung, erst zum zweiten Mal in seiner Vereinsgeschichte sichern konnte und somit nun auf dem Handball-Thron Europas sitzt. Herzlichen Glückwunsch! 👑

The European Handball Federation Final Four is the highlight of the season for Europe’s handball elite and was held for the 14th time this year at the LANXESS Arena in Cologne. The handball thrill began with the semifinal matches on Saturday and reached its crowning conclusion with the matches for third place and the final yesterday, Sunday.
In addition to FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, the team from Kielce, Poland, was also represented, as well as SC Magdeburg – Handball Magdeburg GmbH as the German representative.
The cherry on the cream cake was provided by SC Magdeburg, who secured the title in a gripping final thriller with 30:29 after extra time, only the second time in its club history and thus now sits on the handball throne of Europe. Congratulations! 👑
